These terms apply to paid BI Insights accounts and subscriptions on recogenie.com. They are written for restaurant operators — clear, operational language, not legal spam.

💳 Subscription and billing
BI Insights is billed per selected branch/location. The amount due is shown at checkout before you pay.
Your subscription renews automatically every 30 days from the date of first subscription unless cancelled.
Billing is processed by Stripe. Invoice and payment records are issued through Stripe.
You may cancel at any time. After cancellation, access continues until the end of your current paid 30-day cycle. No prorated refund is provided after renewal, except where required by applicable law.
🔐 Account, branch access & invitations
Account owners are responsible for managing branch access permissions, user invitations, and authorised personnel under their organisation.
Branch Manager and Area Manager invites include a temporary password and expire after 7 days unless your admin resends the invite.
Temporary manager passwords must be changed at first login.
Reco Genie is not responsible for internal misuse of shared credentials or permissions granted by the account owner.
We may suspend access for abuse, fraud, non-payment, or security risk.
🤖 AI & forecast accuracy
Reco Genie provides operational forecasts and business intelligence based on available data signals and AI-assisted analysis. Forecasts, recommendations, and readiness indicators may not always be accurate or complete.
Outputs may relate to stock, demand, weather impact, event rushes, staffing pressure, revenue outlook, and similar operational signals.
Business decisions remain the responsibility of the venue operator.
Reco Genie does not guarantee demand, revenue, covers, stock usage, labour savings, or business results.
📋 Operational suggestions
Operational suggestions (including stock prompts, staffing guidance, readiness scores, and match-day alerts) are intended to support business planning only.
They should not replace professional judgement, food-safety procedures, staffing compliance, allergen controls, or supplier management processes.
Safety posters, checklists, and reminders are record-keeping support only — not certification or professional sign-off.
🔔 Notifications & alerts
Reco Genie may send email alerts, reminders, and operational prompts where enabled by your account.
Reco Genie does not guarantee uninterrupted delivery of emails, alerts, reminders, or notifications due to third-party provider availability, internet connectivity, spam filters, or user device settings.
You are responsible for keeping manager contact details accurate.
🌐 Data sources & third parties
Some operational insights may rely on third-party data providers, public information sources, geocoding, weather, sports fixtures, reviews, or external APIs.
Reco Genie does not guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party data.
Location intelligence uses branch coordinates and public landmark/geo signals — not a guarantee that your venue matches a third-party business listing.
📊 Social, competitor & review intelligence
Social and review intelligence is optional and is available only to authorised owner/admin users in this release.
For your business's Instagram or TikTok account, an authorised owner/admin must choose and explicitly confirm the account before Reco Genie collects account-level posts or profile metrics. Reco Genie does not automatically claim account ownership.
Performance comparisons may use public posts, public profile information, public reviews and public web discussions relating to nearby restaurants selected by an authorised user. Reco Genie does not access private competitor accounts, private messages, private posts or non-public account analytics.
Area food signals may summarise public food-related posts and hashtags by postcode district or city. These are sampled, general area signals and are not claims about a specific restaurant, person, customer group or the whole market.
Public-source data may include account names, handles, post text, publication times, engagement counts, hashtags, links and review content made available by the relevant platform or data provider. Availability, completeness and accuracy are not guaranteed.
Social comparisons, sentiment, posting-time guidance and trend labels are advisory estimates based on limited samples. They do not prove sales performance, customer intent, causation or market share.
You must use these features lawfully and must not use outputs to harass, impersonate, discriminate against or unlawfully profile any person or business.
Third-party platform terms and data-provider restrictions continue to apply. Reco Genie may remove a source or feature when access, permissions or provider rules change.
🧾 POS connections & automatic EOD
If your account connects a supported POS, Reco Genie may use that connection only for the features you or an authorised admin enable.
Automatic POS EOD stays off until an authorised admin grants permission for the branch in BI Insights settings.
When enabled, scheduled background jobs may fetch previous-day EOD totals, order counts, channel split, hourly sales, and item summaries where the POS provider makes those fields available.
POS EOD data may be used for EOD reconciliation, forecast learning, reports, Power BI exports, Morag context, and operational insights.
You can disable automatic POS EOD in settings. Disabling it stops future scheduled pulls but does not automatically delete data already imported into your account history.
📊 Historical sales uploads & imports
Excel, CSV, JSON, and POS history imports are treated as real branch historical data, not test data, unless the product page clearly says otherwise.
Historical imports may update daily actuals, the sales ledger, own-busyness learning, attribution records, forecast context, Power BI reporting views, Morag context, and AI-generated insight summaries.
Paid historical insights may unlock deeper analysis such as notable-day explanations, calendar matching, channel-mix movement, graph descriptions, and longer AI interpretation.
You are responsible for ensuring uploaded historical data is accurate, authorised, and belongs to the branch/account you select.
🔒 Data and privacy
We store account and subscription setup data needed to provide BI Insights services.
Operational metrics and intelligence outputs are provided for business planning and advisory use.
Privacy and data processing details are in our Privacy Policy.
📞 Voice & call recording (Morag)
Businesses using voice or call-related features are responsible for complying with local call-recording, customer notification, and privacy laws applicable in their operating regions (including UK requirements where relevant).
Reco Genie provides technology tools; you remain responsible for how calls are announced, recorded, and used at your venue.
⚙️ Service availability & beta features
Reco Genie aims to maintain reliable platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Certain features may be released as beta, preview, experimental, or evolving functionality and may change over time without prior notice.
✅ Acceptable use
Users may not misuse the platform for spam, fraud, unlawful activity, system abuse, or attempts to disrupt platform operations.
Reco Genie reserves the right to suspend accounts that present operational, security, or reputational risks.
⚖️ Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reco Genie Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or decisions made from platform suggestions or third-party data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
All software, branding, platform logic, analytics systems, and operational intelligence models remain the property of Reco Genie Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You retain ownership of your business data and uploads; you grant Reco Genie a licence to process that data to deliver the service.
